I love when a photographer is able to capture the essence and character of a city in a unique way, and Navid Baraty did just that with these recent shots. He caught New York at its finest -- huge skyscrapers, zooming taxis and busy people going about their lives. Even more amazing: He snapped these photos by "leaning over the edge of buildings," he says, and "by extending my arms out if necessary." Yikes! Can you imagine?

Doesn't he make the otherwise ho hum and ordinary streets burst with excitement? It looks like a little village of miniature toys! Genius!

If photographers snapped photos from high above your city, what would they capture, friends? I'd love to hear... xoxo
